Bennie Holtsclaw- God, Family & Friends

Bennie Holtsclaw is a former United States Army Officer, farmer/rancher, and multi-genre musician. Bennie was well-known in Kansas for his local television appearances in the Wichita area. He traveled nation wide touring the United States with his publishing company Melody Wings Music and Records, earning himself the nickname “The Singing Rancher”. Holtsclaw is a member of the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers, and a former member of the K.F.R.M. radio road show based in Salina, Kansas.

In the mid 2000’s Bennie began attending Friday night music nights at the Emma Chase Cafe in Cottonwood Falls. The Friday night music nights usually brought in at least 10-15 people ready to play, and at times nearly one hundred spectators, newcomers were always welcome. There are countless archives of his events and flyers, available.

Bennie was last documented in the newspaper hosting a concert in Cedar Point scheduled for Sunday the 27th, 2008 and is still doing well today. The entirety of his album God, Friends & Family is embedded in the article for your listening. This was released in 1979 with his aforementioned publishing company.
