The Gospelaires were an east Tennessee based religious collective that toured widely throughout the eastern United States. They had a rotating ensemble, but had some formative core members. Their recording studio was located in Athens, Tennessee, and I was able to catch up with former Gospelaire Glen Davis today to get some information that would not have been available without his assistance.
Our copy of this cassette was offered to be reunited with Glen and he happily obliged. Glen noted for the record that Anthony Berger joined The Gospelaires at 13 years old before later joining The Kingsmen and afterwards pursuing a solo career.
